Your Opportunity as Arabic B Teacher
As an “Arabic B” teacher at our world-class school, you will deliver a dynamic and creative curriculum to motivated students within a supportive GEMS framework. We seek an experienced individual with a drive for exceptional education.
Educational Qualification:
A Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature, Islamic Studies, Education (with a specialization in Arabic), or a closely related field from an accredited university.
Holding a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree is often preferred or considered an advantage.
Some schools might consider a Bachelor’s degree in another subject combined with a relevant teaching qualification.
Teaching Qualification/Certification:
A recognized teaching qualification is usually mandatory. This could include:
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status – UK)
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
Teaching License or Certification from your home country (must be recognized and potentially attested by the UAE authorities).
Some schools might prefer or require a teaching qualification specifically in Arabic as a Second Language (ASL) or Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language (TAFL).
Teaching Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the relevant level (primary or secondary) is commonly required.
Experience teaching the Arabic B curriculum (designed for non-native speakers) within an international school setting is often highly preferred.
Familiarity with the specific curriculum followed by the school (e.g., IB, British) can be an advantage.
