We are looking for a competent high school English teacher who is committed to developing our kids’ minds and has a strong love for teaching to join our team in August 2025.

Principal Duties:

In every facet of instruction and student interactions, uphold the GEMS Core Values of creativity, excellence, lifelong learning, and global citizenship.
Provide interesting courses that satisfy curricular requirements while accommodating different learning preferences and the needs of each individual student, including talented and ESL students.

Ensure that policies and codes of conduct are routinely adhered to by keeping thorough records of planning, assessments, and attendance.
Make good use of technology and media in the classroom to improve student learning.
Encourage student growth and wellbeing by managing behavior, fostering cultural understanding, and providing academic advice.
Work together with coworkers to create instructional materials and support the school’s extracurricular and co-curricular activities.

English Teacher applicants must possess:

Bachelor’s degree or BEd with a relevant specialization in English and a PGCE, PGDE, or its equivalent.
Demonstrated expertise in teaching inclusion, preferably in an American Curriculum or IB school, though this is not required.
Prior expertise instructing at the secondary or high school level.
Possess the capacity to provide excellent instructional techniques.
Lively and imaginative attitude, both within and beyond the classroom.
Have outstanding people skills to collaborate effectively with parents, students, and coworkers.
Track record of excellence in teaching and learning.
