• Hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Possess a recognized teaching qualification or certification.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of curriculum development and effective pedagogical practices in Humanities education.
• Have experience teaching History and Geography at the secondary level (experience within an international school setting is advantageous).
• Be adept at creating engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and learning objectives.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, incorporating technology, inquiry-based learning, and collaborative activities to foster active student participation.
• Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to embrace new educational approaches.
• Be culturally sensitive and adaptable to the unique context of teaching in the UAE.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in History and Geography, aligned with the school’s curriculum framework.
• Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student inquiry, critical thinking, and active participation.
• Assessing student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Maintaining accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities department and across other subject areas to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Contributing to the development and review of curriculum materials.
• Participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
• Adhering to school policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall positive ethos of the school.
• Committing to ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice.
