Hummingbird Early Learning Centre Dubaï

The role is 40 hours a week, 5 days a week and 52 weeks a year. We are looking for educated Western candidates for this exciting role and someone who is very enthusiastic, interested and energetic!

Full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.

Specific tasks and responsibilities
Plan and organize activities and opportunities to expand learning.

Produce accurate and effective feedback to assess a child’s progress and the effectiveness of the learning environment.

Support the development of children during the early years.

Manage the behavior and procedures of children in accordance with the policies and procedures of the settings.

Work within the primary person’s system.

Keep objective, accurate and up-to-date records of children’s individual needs, abilities and progress, and use them as a focal point for future planning.

Work in partnership with parents and guardians at all times.

Work in accordance with the health and safety directives of the premises and perform specific tasks related to the safety and hygiene of children and the center.

Work within the framework of the centre’s equal opportunities policies.

Share the tasks necessary for general maintenance – keeping the center tidy, clean and contributing to the general well-being of the team.

Plan outings and be aware of the additional responsibilities necessary to keep children safe.

Participate and contribute to regular staff meetings

Stay up to date with research and training to improve skills and knowledge and develop a positive attitude that improves practice.

Coach and assist teaching assistants to ensure their practice is of high quality.

Be responsible for personal and professional development by receiving appropriate training.

Carry out any other task requested by the management of the center and which is necessary for the proper functioning of the center and the well-being of the children in his charge.

Qualifications and skills required
Work or have completed NVQ level 3 for early childhood or equivalent

First Aid Certificate (BLS)

Ability to communicate effectively with young children and parents

Ability to work in a helpful and courteous manner to promote the positive image of the center

Ability to work as part of a team

Flexibility and willingness to perform a range of tasks in a friendly and efficient manner

Knowledge of the foundation stage for the early years.
