Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced, inspirational, and dedicated Music Teacher to join our Performing Arts team beginning in the academic year 2025-26.

The Department has a growing number of award-winning choirs, ensembles, and bands that perform in a variety of musical styles such as classical, musical theatre, jazz, pop, and rock. The successful candidate will be eager to make a significant contribution in this area and have the vision to grow it within the Department.

Applicants should be fully qualified teachers with extensive subject knowledge and experience.

Qualification Music Teacher:

A recognized professional teaching qualification, such as a B.A., B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent. HPL (High Performance Learning) experience will be advantageous.

Experience:

Excellent practical experience in music education spanning at least two years, with a thorough understanding of the British National Curriculum. In addition, current knowledge of child care and protection procedures. To confirm this, the candidate should provide a letter of experience.

Skills

A confident, versatile musician and teacher eager to contribute to the school’s extensive enrichment and extracurricular activities.
Working closely with students and parents requires excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent command of English.
Qualifications in a chosen instrument or voice. Preferably with piano accompaniment experience.
Experience teaching music at primary and/or secondary levels, with a track record of success.
