Due to a considerable growth of facilities, we are now looking for a variety of experienced experts for Teacher of Food Science and Nutrition,Dubai at Jumeirah College in Dubai. The appointment is scheduled for the beginning of September.

As a Food and Nutrition Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons that encourage children to learn about food preparation, nutrition, science, and sustainability.
You will guide students through the KS3 Food Science and GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition curricula, helping them build the skills needed for academic success and real-world food careers.
The course is conducted in a specialized food lab with separate theoretical and practical areas, staffed by a full-time technician.

Key responsibilities:

Provide interesting and unique Food & Nutrition courses that cover topics such as food science, nutrition, and culinary techniques.
Help youngsters comprehend sustainable food practices, food production, and health and safety regulations.
Create a lively, hands-on learning atmosphere in which students can experiment and innovate in the kitchen.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop a comprehensive curriculum that matches the school’s values and pedagogical objectives.
Maintain excellent communication with students, parents, and educators, and provide regular updates on student progress and successes.
Participate in extracurricular food and nutrition activities like cooking lessons or food-themed parties.

Requirements and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Technology, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or related subject.
PGCE, PGDE, or a comparable teaching qualification.

Being able to teach Design and Technology at the KS3 level is beneficial, but not needed.
A creative and enthusiastic attitude to teaching, both in and beyond of the classroom.
